As an advocate for the local needs of the Biluru people, and existing as Darwin's only Aboriginal community-controlled health organisation, DDHS is well connected, with currently 7 clinics operating across the Darwin region, and plans in place for continued growth and expansion.

About the Opportunity

 Danila Dilba now has a rewarding opportunity for a Regional Manager to join their growing team on a full-time basis, overseeing a number of their clinics across Darwin, NT.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of quality, culturally sensitive, and comprehensive primary health care clinical services at Danila Dilba's Health Clinics.

More specifically, your day-to-day duties will include, but will not be confined to:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of DDHS Health Clinics and ensuring all KPIs are being consistently met;
  • Ensuring clinics and services operate in compliance with funding agreements, agreed on service levels and performance targets;
  • developing long term objective for employees, coordinating performance development initiatives, and providing high-level leadership across the clinics;
  • Leading the implementation of innovative solutions to improve the effectiveness of clinical service delivery; and
  • Identifying and managing risk in all decisions made and in the delivery of outcomes, while also developing effective partnerships with relevant Government and sector networks.

About You

To be considered for this position, you will need to have relevant leadership/management experience in a clinical setting, and ideally, tertiary qualifications relevant to the role (community services, health, social science etc.).

With a strong clinical background, you will be comfortable managing a large and dispersed system of health professionals, including GP's, nurses, and AHP's, and have a demonstrated ability to influence outcomes and manage conflict in support of established KPI's.

A people person, your ability to develop productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including Government/sector officials, will be key to your success, particularly as you provide clinical oversight over the complaints process.

More importantly, as a community-controlled health organisation, you must be willing to act in a culturally sensitive and appropriate manner in collaboration with a range of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

DDHS is ideally looking for someone who is adaptable and dependable, has the leadership skills necessary to oversee a range of business functions (HR, Finance, and Projects), and welcomes the opportunity gain experience within the field of Aboriginal Health.

Please Note: Prior to commencement, you must be willing and able to obtain a current Police Check, Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card), First Aid and/or CPR Certificate (or be prepared to obtain), and a current Australian Driver's Licence.
